October 22, 2025SoCal controllers as well as the Tower are top notch. For being such a busy airport they are extremely organized and friendly. I would say probably the finest in the entire country. Many less busy airports are not as welcoming and cater mainly to the airliners and do not assist GA. SoCal in my experience has been happy to accommodate anything from small pistons to private jets and give them all the suitable attention and assistance.

September 30, 2025If you are going into ACI Jet you need prior permission. There is and has been a NOTAM in effect dated 8/13/25 to 2/28/26. July 3, 2025My initial visit to Charlie Airport. SoCal was superb and SNA controllers were likewise! From Clearance to Ground to Tower! ACI JET north was also fine!

January 22, 2025If you want a cute little interesting and Yumm restaurant for breakfast or lunch try the Atomic Cafe. Walkable on the West side. Hawaiian, Vietnamese and Anglo items. 3100 Airway.

August 8, 2024Based out of KSNA since 2015. Yes it is a busy airport. Yet the controllers are good, both on the field and SoCal. Professional. Safe. Accommodating. No nonsense. They get the job done. What more could I want. Jays aircraft has always been fine to work with too.

Aircraft ldg runway 20l, use ctn for jet blast from aircraft hldg between runway 20l and runway 20r at taxiway left and ctn wake turb from jet aircraft ldg runway 20r.
APT Lighting Schedule: When atct closed actvt malsr runway 20r & papi runways 02l & 20r - CTAF.
Be alert to birds on and in vicinity of airport.
Designated Customs Landing: Us customs user fee airport.
FBO general aviation aprons limited to max gwt of 100,000 lbs (dual gear) and with wingspans less than 100 ft. general aviation aircraft prohibited from using any portion of the air carrier commercial ramp.
For cd when atct closed contact socal approach at 800-448-3724.
Landing Fee: Overnight tie-down fee.
Maintain at or above 300 ft AGL until established on final .
Manager's Name: Ron mcclellan, mgr, airside opns 949-252-5247.
Noise Abatement: Pilots are encouraged to use minimum certificated landing flap setting in accordance with FAR 91.126c. ATC/weather permitting, pilots are requested to make a visual straight-in approach.
