January 19, 2026Friendly and professional ATC. Self-serve fuel not working today. It was "offline" on the display, so I needed to buy fuel from an FBO full service, which was considerably more costly. After doing that, they waived any landing fees though.

June 22, 2025Just landed KMET , on short final the tower said "Go Around Go Around, your front landing gear did not come down" So I aborted the landing and went around. Once I calmed down and able to communicate I told them "I don't have a front nose gear, it's a Taildragger!!" I'm appreciative of the new guy in the tower but my heart was skipping!

Heavy bird activity on & in vicinity of airport.
Lighted water tower 1 mi W-SW of airport.
Noise abatement procedures in effect, contact airport manager for details.

Remain over paved channel on climb out to south and to north.

Runway 01 obstruction close in: Runway 01 +6 ft fence 120 ft right of centerlines; +6 ft fence 120 ft left & parallel to centerlines 0-200 ft from end of runway.
