April 18, 2025Been here a lot in GA planes. Mostly Bonanzas Barons and PC12's. This is a Bravo airport but the controllers do an excellent job keeping things moving.

October 1, 2024SAFETY HAZARD - TAXI: please be mindful of new TWY B Bypass Route!! Visual description on new "10-8 Construction (Temp)" taxi map chart in Jepps. In effect 8 Jul 24 thru 3 Feb 25!! In brief, KSAN has closed TWY B between B6 & B4 & built new TWYs A, A6, A2 & A1. These are NOT shown on 10-9 Airport Info Map!!! Kindly read & follow info on new "10-8 Construction (Temp)" map page! This detail is not in notams. The sole notam posted states "SAN taxiway A between A6 & A2 commissioned"

July 27, 2023Not the easiest to get into as GA due to the single runway, but once down Signature is fine albeit with costly fuel (as with any B).

30 min ppr (619-400-2710) for aircraft with over 171 ft wingspan.
747 and larger aircraft are prohibited from making intersection tkofs.
Aircraft crossing runway 09/27 on taxiway c6, hold short of taxiway c6 facing west on taxiway c, parallel to runway.
Aircraft with wingspans gtr than 171 ft (52m) rstd from using taxiway d south of taxiway b, and when exiting runway 09 wb on taxiway b.
Cross-bleed engine starts permitted only on parallel taxiway with aircraft aligned on taxiway centerlines.
Dep curfew in efct. deps prohibited 2330-0630. sgfnt fines. med flts exempt with form. noise ofc 619-400-2660.
Due to paew on runway 09-27, 30 minute ppr 0830-1230z for all landings and departures call 619-400-2710.
For access to/fr terminal 2: gates 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33-51 and the island and west ron prkg ramps, contact ramp ctl on 129.775 sry 131.975 fr 0600-2400. fr 0000-0600 contact ground ctl on 123.9.
Intermittent presence of birds on and in vicinity of of airport.
In the event of a diversion or irregular operations events, aircraft operators contact the airport duty mgr (619) 400-2710 for ppr due to limitations associated with handling diverted flts. limitations include restricted gate space, customs services as well as aircraft servicing & parking.
