January 15, 2026CUSTOMS 352-787-4217 (TH-Mon) here is wonderful! The Senior Agent retired but we are fortunate enough to have had him share his success gained with being courteous and understanding. I've found most owner/pilots don't know that by filing the EAPIS departing anywhere in the Bahamas, going directly to KLEE (IFR ONLY, 10K or higher), will be approved 99% of the time. File EAPIS, Call KLEE Customs for landing permission, Depart NO Sooner than 60 minutes from when you received your EAPIS acknowledgement.

January 7, 2026This airport is not a Vector airport and there are not "landing fees". They are FBO charges for services rendered: parking, fuel, GPU, etc. "Landing fees" are in Kissimme where Vector uses your ADSB for touch and goes, missed approach, and go arounds, sending you a bill without services. Not KLEE. FBO at Klee is awesome, Cracker Barrel is within walking distance, and a 10 min car ride will take you to Tavares Sea Plane Base with fine waterfront restaurants and seaplanes.
