FBO situated on the east end (Runway 28) provides an updated facility with welcoming personnel. They gave us a useful suggestion to eat at the Mystic Grill in downtown, which is conveniently located a brief distance from the airport. The staff recommended the sweat tea fried chicken. Furthermore, they let us know that this area is frequently called the “Hollywood of the South” because of its long list of movies and television shows that have been shot here. Worth the visit!

Stopped in for gas. As noted by others, the self serve fuel is on the east end of the field with a porta potty. There is a landing fee based on plane size or engines to use the ramp if not purchased off the truck. The FBO is on the west end of the field with fine service. I didn't call ahead for charges, but was a little surprised that a light twin is over 3 times the cost of a single if being charged a landing fee. Turbo props are more than that. I'll be sure to check ahead next time.

Good experience. Day trip to the area and after taxing down and across the runway I was marshaled to a spot. Greeted by Jason who was helpful and accommodating with fuel (at a fine price) and the crew car. He truly assisted with make a rough day better.
