October 9, 2024Flew into W99 VFR from the NE in a PA28-180. Approach at least 4500' MSL to avoid the ridge tops. We were seemingly the only transients. Ramp space was adequate with no tie-down ropes so bring your own if you're staying for an extended period of time. No attendant present, but no worries as we weren't expecting anything. FBO suited well with snacks, fine pilots lounge and clean restrooms. 100LL self serve was simple to use. Departed RWY 31 with a climbing orbit over the field until 5500'.

July 2, 2023Plenty of tie down area and clean airport and FBO. Bring your own tie downs. Airport FBO is appears to be vacant most days. Make certain to get the gate code prior to you exit as we needed to jump the fence. High mountains to the west, so be sure you have proper climb performance if you are IFR. No Ubers or taxis

May 12, 2022Country Cars and Trucks in town will rent you a vehicle. Was $40/day, older model. (Did not deliver as scheduled-- so had a 30 min wait.). No ropes/chains to tie down - bring your own. Self serve fuel only. VCOA is straightforward for departure if need be.
