This is quintessential GA airport with an involved pilots group promoting grassroots aviation. A new campsite is being opened up in the woods with plenty of shade, firewood and a campfire. It's slightly on the north side of the field in the wooded area (ask locals or check https://airfield.guide.theraf.org/). There is a courtesy car available for donations and you cannot miss SPELUNKERS the legendary burger place nearby.

This is an all-around self serve kind of airport. FBO is the red roofed building by the departure end of 28; cheapest 100LL around sits across the ramp. Fuel hose is shorter than standard and the pump times out quickly necessitating a new transaction if you delay. Circle north of the field if coming in over the mountains and need to lose elevation. Jump pilot was superb: she was easygoing and willing to work with other traffic.

Very lovely good airport with inexpensive fuel. Flying an elderly couple up north on a holiday weekend and the fuel stop here turned into an unexpected overnight. Had a crew car that saved the day as I couldnt get a taxi or rent a car due to the holiday. Borrowed the crew car again the next morning to get my elderly friends from the hotel paid a reasonable $10 overnight fee and we continued on our way. Thank you!
