All fine mid-Sept despite building work. Runway good. Always a wonderful place to remain, and visit town!

Update: We no longer have a caretaker for the remainder of this season. Heavy fire fighting activity in the vicinity. Facilities are closed, but outhouses remain open and the water will stay on thru mid September. Courtesy Cars are not available, but the bike shed is still a choice.

An extensive construction project is starting at Garden Valley (U88). The work will necessitate turning off power, internet and cameras at the airstrip. The work is at and around our buildings, not on the runway. The runway will stay open, but camping will be more basic than usual. Two pit-toilets stay accessible for use.
