Returned after a couple of years to find a couple of departing planes completely changed the flow of established traffic in the pattern, but that occurs. Thankfully the radios were active. Always a good destination but sadly the restaurant service was still slow, even lackluster, but the food was fine still.

This airport is surrounded by wonderful scenery and was a good stop with fairly priced fuel. Be mindful of the noise abatement procedures!

I cannot believe there are not more current reviews for this wonderful facility so here goes. I have been flying out of Auburn for almost three years now. I got my PPL here out of Skytrails Aviation which was a superb experience. KAUN's closeness to the Sierras and Foothills provides so many lovely flight adventures. The airport is open and welcoming with lots of flight school action and a good restaurant- Wings. Fuel is always accessible with quick and courteous service.
