June 21, 2024Want to fly a taildragger...go to Stanton. Want to fly a glider...go to Stanton. Along with an assortment of flying chances is a good group of people. John, the airport manager took fine care of me during my stay, finding a spot in a hanger for my Mooney, and the members of the Stanton Soaring Club made me feel quite at home. The main runway, 18 / 36 can be a challenge. The right side of 18 is the smoothest, but watch out for the bump at the intersecting runway.
