Landed on Runway 9. Brian got off his mower and said Hello. We were the first outside visitor to Blackhawk in a month, he stated. The beginning of Runway 4 has 50' trees very close (20'?) on the right side of the runway. Yikes! Oakstone Recreational is at the west side of the airport. It was busy. The food was inexpensive and well prepared. I would avoid Runway 4. Even though the asphalt is crumbling on it, there is no justification for those trees to be that close to the runway. Cut them down!!!

Arrived 5/6 to drop off pax. I would not suggest this field if you cannot safely operate from 9-27. Trees encroaching on the other runway makes it risky Deteriorating infrastructure, no amenities accessible.

The finest days appear to be past this airport. A kind pilot welcomed us and offered us directions to the eatery. We were there to gather a passport stamp, which can be found in the mailbox on the outside of the dilapidated shack. Beware of the crying cat or raccoon inside!
