Agree with prior comment (fine camping and swimming location) and add that the east side of the runway has some dips and rises, so favor the west side for a smoother landing experience. Stayed overnight. No other planes landed while we were present.

There is a fine spot to camp with a picnic table and fire ring at the south end “ramp”. The south half of that grass ramp is lumpy. Bring your own water. There is a portapotty just left of the hangar. Blackberries when in season. Phenomenal swimming hole just upstream of the bridge to town. You will see how to get down to it; the easier way to the water involves turning right halfway down. The Code is a good burger, beer and ice cream place in town, 20 minutes walk or less.
