After 14 years at 3DW and I got an invoice that my hangar price doubled. I was told I could not do your own oil changes and had to use Fulltron FBO's flight instructor, which is fine if I was told this beforehand. The manner I was treated was awful. They told me my kids likely lost the notice!! When I asked to talk to the manager she said why is it because I’m a woman?? Really wild there. Cant make this stuff up.

Flew in, missed the tower!!, tied my tailwheel a/c down on the grass good tiedowns though ropes getting a bit old. Lyft to (and next day return from) the Walnut Street Inn for an overnight, a delightful B&B (not AirBnB). Good self service fuel. In the evening we took in a AA baseball game, saw the Springfield Cardinals win 4-0 against Corpus Christi, yay! This was fine fun; the Show is too expensive these days anyway. The baseball stadium is an easy walk from the Walnut Street Inn.

Came in after hours expecting to tie the plane down outside, but a few upstanding line service men and women were hanging out after hours and were able to throw the plane in a hangar as a nasty storm approached. They offered me a ride into town that night and offered to come in as early as I needed to get the plane out and on the road the next morning. The service was excellent, I would definitely recommend stopping here! Also, their oxygen service was excellent!
